As a primary school supply teacher, my vision is to return to the basics of education. During my time from 1999 to 2002, working with agencies like Mark Education, CFBT (Call For Better Teaching), and Abacus Education, I taught in approximately a few hundred primary schools across London. My goal is to reintroduce Nivsta Boards to London children, enhancing their learning experience.

While ensuring the Numeracy and Literacy hours were covered, I encouraged additional educational games and activities throughout the day. Each day was special for the children, as they had the opportunity to meet someone new, like myself, Mr. D, the London Supply Teacher.

One activity they particularly enjoyed was tracing their hand with a pencil, then using their favourite coloured felt-tip pen to enhance it before colouring it in with their preferred shade of coloured pencil.

Furthermore, I taught them how to create acrostic poems using their Christian names, fostering creativity and self-expression. This holistic approach to education aimed to engage and inspire young minds, nurturing their potential.

“Engaging with each child individually, I’d invite them to my desk where I’d write their name in playful bubble writing. They’d eagerly grab their markers, colouring each letter in vibrant colour, making their name truly their own masterpiece. I also enjoyed incorporating fun activities, like introducing them to the entertaining world of the nine times tables theory.”

“And, of course, if the weather permitted, physical education classes were held in the playground.”

🧒 Youth PIOW (Ages 5–13)

Purpose:
A simple, app-free, interactive wearable for kids ages 5–13 that encourages connection, creativity, and sharing.

🎨 Customization Features

  • Straps: Multiple colors available
  • Interchangeable: Kids can swap straps with other PIOW users (ages 5–13) to connect and personalize their experience

🧩 Two Main Functions

1. Digital & Analog Time

This feature means the watch displays both:

  • Digital Time: Numbers shown on an electronic display (e.g., 12:45 PM).
  • Analog Time: Traditional clock face with hour, minute, and sometimes second hands.

Having both time formats offers:

  • Convenience: Easy digital reading at a glance.
  • Classic Style: Analog hands for traditional or fashionable appeal.

1. Personal Identity Input (PIOW)

A simple, 5-step input process on the device:

When purchased it comes with PIOW on the screen.

  1. PIOW – Name your wearable or choose your personal PIOW nickname
  2. Name – The child’s first name
  3. Age
  4. Favorite Color
  5. Where They’re From – (e.g., city, country, or just “school” name if privacy is a concern)

No app required. Simple, child-friendly interface.

2. Pass It On! – Strap Sharing & Interaction

  • After filling out the 5 inputs, the child can choose to “Pass It On”.
  • This allows them to swap their watch strap with another Youth PIOW user.
  • Great for:
    • Making new friends
    • Sharing favorite colors
    • Marking milestones or memories

Optional but fun social element—teaches sharing, identity, and interaction.

🛠 Setup Requirements

  • All actions are done directly on the device
  • Easy interface designed for children
  • No app or mobile device required
  • Only 5 inputs needed to get started.

Using the PIOW Clear Strap: What It Means

If you own a PIOW Pass It On strap and prefer a more neutral look, you can choose to wear a clear, see-through strap.

This clear strap signals to other kids aged 5–13 that you’re not currently looking to “Pass It On”. It’s a simple, friendly way to say you’re taking a break from swapping straps right now.
